2010 Swimming and Diving Team Information
Welcome to the 2010 Season - GO Megaducks! The Megaducks welcome swimmers and divers ages 6 – 18. We emphasize skills improvement, personal growth, sportsmanship, team spirit and good fun.
REGISTRATION: Download and print both the registration form and the waiver from the website. (CLICK HERE FOR A REGISTRATION FORM.) Complete both forms and mail to address on registration form with your check for $50 per swim team member no later than MAY 28th. Registration is NOT complete until the release is signed and submitted, no one is permitted to practice or compete until his/her registration is complete.
Team Suit Try-On Day: On Saturday, June 5th from 9-11 a.m. a new suit vendor, Personal Best, will be at Manorlu with the new team suit (TYR "Freeze Frame") to try on and purchase. Personal Best accepts cash, personal checks, or credit cards. If you cannot make the try-on day, you may purchase the team suit directly from Personal Best at 215-464-6680.
MANDATORY SWIMMER/PARENT MEETING: There will be a mandatory meeting for all swimming and diving team members and one parent. Please attend either June 7th at 6:15 or June 15th at 7:30. If you cannot attend either meeting, please inform one of the coaches. TIME TRIALS: Time Trials will be held for all swim team members on June 26th. Since we are swimming all events in our meets, it is imperative that all current and new swimmers attend time trials. PRACTICES: Regular Practices will be held Monday through Friday mornings. 2010 Practice ScheduleAll Practices Start Tuesday, June 1stPre-Season(Monday – Friday from June 1st to June 18th) Swimming 11 and up - 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm 10 and under - 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm Diving 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm To start, divers can arrive when they can after school. Regular Season (Starting June 21st) SwimmingMonday – Friday 11 and up - 7:45 am to 9:15 am 10 and under - 9:15 to 10:30 am 8 and under - 10:30 to 11:15 am Diving Wednesday and Friday Morning Monday and Thursday Evening Diving Times TBA WEEKDAY MEETS: Meet Times:

If you cannot make a meet, notify the coaches three days in advance via the sign-out sheets on the team bulletin board. If you are in the lineup (especially for a relay) and are a no show, it could keep other swimmers from competing! Please be considerate. TEAM PICTURES: Team pictures are scheduled for Thursdau, July 8th at 9:00 AM (instead of practice). Team Picture only - $9.00; Family and Team picture - $11.00. CASH ONLY Please! SOCIAL EVENTS: The 2010 Splash & Spirit Party is scheduled for Monday, June 21st, 2010 from 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM. This is a great way to kick-off the start of the Summer Swimming and Diving season! Families are asked to bring either a snack or a 2-liter bottle of juice or soda. Tubes are permitted for this event. Any parents available to chaperone are asked to signup on the team bulletin board. The 2010 Get Psyched for Champs Party is scheduled for Monday, July 26, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM. All Megaducks are invited to celebrate another great season while getting ready for champs! Pizza, watermelom, water ice and drinks will be served. Awards and team gifts will be distributed. VOLUNTEERS: We can’t make this work without parent volunteers to time, judge, work the scorers’ table, bake for the bake sales, chaperone, sell 50/50s, etc. Please sign up and volunteer! Sign ups will be on the bulletin board or by email. CJ MARTIN RELAY CARNIVAL: The 2010 C.J. Martin Relay Carnival will be held on Thursday, July 8th at Fort Washington Swim Club. This is an evening of great swimming, fun competition and festivities! The event will start with warm-ups at 5:00 PM. The relay events will begin at 6:00 PM and run until 8:00 PM. The evening will wrap-up by 9:00 with music and a treat. Coaches will post a list of relay teams for this event on the team bulletin board as the date gets closer!
